What is XBooks?

XBooks is an internet website service that provides a marketplace for information exchange to college students seeking to buy and/or sell college textbooks. Unlike other "fly by night" textbook websites that vanish at the end of the semester, XBooks will always be there providing a comprehensive approach that combines several websites into one.

How does it work?

XBooks utilizes the strength of the internet, limitless networking and information sharing, to provide a marketplace for college students to buy and sell textbooks. Rather than standing in long lines at the local bookstore students can:

  1. log on to XBooksaves.com
  2. find which textbooks will be required for each course
  3. locate students who wish to sell those particular books

The buyer will immediately be able to contact the seller directly and negotiate a price. They will then select a location to make the exchange. This hassle-free environment will be continually monitored to ensure the credibility of members. If the book required is not listed by another student or is a new edition, the buyer will be provided a link to different internet bookstores that will enable the purchase.
Cost-Saving

Unlike other used textbook websites, XBooks does not charge a fee each time contact information is exchanged or a sale is negotiated. Also unlike the others, XBooks requires no limit to the amount of information that can be exchanged. The XBooks Premium Membership is free of charge. At no cost, students can search and gather as much contact information as needed to find the required book at the best price. They may also advertise their used textbooks for sale. Only students from the same college who are registered students will be able to view the seller contact information.

Other textbook websites can charge the student several times before the seller and buyer agree to the same price. But not XBooks. We provide students with the tools and information to buy and sell their books free of charge.
